As a freelance arts education facilitator, I’m involved currently in the Digital Creatives project by the Institute of Imagination, funded by the Mayor of London. This project is postponed during the quarentine but was taking place 2-3x a week at the Future Youth Zone in Barking.
It consisted of a series of workshops, organised as building-blocks for young people to gain creative learning and digital literacy skills involving MakeyMakey, MicroBit, Oculus Quest VR, Vidcode and Scratch . The first phase was a series of Tech Taster sessions involving drop-in withe the above technologies where kids would familiarize with this technologies with 20min guided sessions, followed by Skill-Up sessions organised around projects to be developed in a day-lenght workshop.
